Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information The Nude Look collects when you browse the site, place an order, sign up for emails, enquire about training or enrol on a course, and exactly what we do with it. We have written it in plain English rather than legal jargon.

Who we are

The Nude Look is the data controller for the information described here.

  • The Nude Look, company number 16692528
  • 6 Calner Croft, Sothall, Sheffield, S20 2PY, England
  • Data enquiries: enquiries@thenudelook.com

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number if you give one, the items you bought, and the order reference.
  • Payment details: the confirmation, amount and last four digits provided to us by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account and course records: your login email, enrolment, progress through the online theory, practical day booking and the case studies you submit for assessment.
  • Enquiries: anything you send through the contact form or by email.
  • Marketing sign-ups: the email address you give us for the newsletter or launch list, and whether you opened or clicked an email.
  • Site data: basic technical information such as pages visited and device type, used to keep the site working and improve it.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To perform our contract with you: taking payment, packing and posting orders, sending order and shipping confirmations, delivering course content, arranging your practical day and assessing your case studies.
  • Our legitimate interests: preventing fraud, keeping stock and records accurate, replying to enquiries, sending basket reminders if you leave items behind, and improving the site and our products.
  • Your consent: marketing emails, offers and launch news. You can withdraw this at any time.
  • Legal obligation: keeping sales, tax and accounting records.

Card payments are handled by Stripe

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your full card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and are never sent to, seen by or stored on this website or by The Nude Look. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and a reference.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your data and we never pass it to third parties for their own marketing. We do use a small number of trusted suppliers who process data on our instructions, under contract:

  • Stripe: payment processing and fraud checks.
  • Our website hosting and database platform: running the site, your account and our order records.
  • Klaviyo: marketing emails and automated basket reminders.
  • Our transactional email provider: order confirmations, shipping updates and course emails.
  • Royal Mail and other couriers: delivering your parcel.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing to people who have asked for it, or who have bought from us and would reasonably expect news about similar products. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and you can opt out at any time on our unsubscribe page or by emailing us. Unsubscribing does not stop essential emails about an order or a course you are already enrolled on.

Cookies

Some cookies and similar storage are strictly necessary for the site to function. These remember what is in your basket, keep you signed in to your account or the admin area, and remember that you have dismissed a banner. We also use limited analytics to understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the basket and sign in will not work properly without the necessary ones.

How long we keep it

  • Orders and financial records: six years, as required for tax purposes.
  • Course and case study records: for the length of your enrolment and certification, plus a reasonable period afterwards so we can verify your qualification.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a minimal record so we do not email you again.
  • Enquiries: around 24 months.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct anything inaccurate, to have data erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask for it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email enquiries@thenudelook.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Security and international transfers

Access to customer and student records is limited to Amber and anyone directly helping to fulfil orders or run the training. Data is held on encrypted, access controlled services. Some of our suppliers, including Stripe and Klaviyo, are based in or process data in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Children

Our products and training are intended for adults. The site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Please check back occasionally. Any questions, just contact us.
